Evacusafe currently manufactures three different models of Transit Wheelchairs. They are based on the chairs used in hospitals, care homes, and by ambulance services, to move patients across flat floors. With a team of assistants, they may also be used to carry patients up or downstairs. Although our tracked evacuation chair range may be more suitable for this kind of task.

Folding 4 Wheel
Product Description
Primarily used to transport persons across level surfaces to a place of safety, our 4 Wheel Transit Chairs is similar to those used by hospitals and ambulance services and they can be used to carry patients either up or down the stairs.
Note: A minimum of 2 operators are required to carry the chair but additional may be necessary depending on the weight to be lifted. Because of the lifting and Manual Handling involved, it is recommended that full Risk Assessment and PEEP should be carried out prior to purchase.

4 Wheel Plus Model
Product Description
The Transit Wheelchair 4 Wheel Plus is an upgraded model compared to the basic Transit wheelchair. Designed for moving one immobile person, who requires additional comfort and support, across level surfaces. It can also be used to carry a patient up or down a flight of stairs.
Note: A minimum of 2 operators are required to carry the chair but additional people may be required depending on the weight that requires lifting.The Transit Wheelchair 4 Wheel Plus is a great addition for care homes and hospitals.

Tri-Wheel Model
Product Description
We have manufactured a chair with three wheels that is good for use in the home. This would come in useful if someone in your family is disabled or injured and needs help getting around the house.
This chair can be very useful if you have a disabled, or otherwise mobility-impaired family member living with you or coming to visit.
It can be used to transport a person around a house and even lift them up and down stairs as long as a couple of people are available to assist.
